I am Brian.

It is a joy to be here with you today as we gather once again around this global campfire.

I have got my coffee to my rights.

I've got a screen in front of my face.

Looking out over the rolling hills of Tennessee.

Grateful to be around the global campfire in my heart and mind, I see it.

It's nice big bomb fire that we gather around our faces glowing in the firelight.

Our hearts open, trusting in the scriptures that we're about to read, open to them, grateful that we can be here today. Our next step leads

us back into the book of numbers. Yesterday in our reading of Miriam Moses' sister and Aaron,

who was the high priest, Moses' brother, they pass into the history.

They both died.

So Moses is the original leader that led the children of Israel out of Egypt,

and he is leading them alone as a new generation begins to emerge.

Elie Azar, Aaron's son, is now the high priest.

Let's continue our journey.

Numbers, Chapter 21, verse 1, 222, verse 20 today.

When the Canaanite, King of Arad, who lived in the Negev, heard that Israel was coming along the road to

Atheram. He attacked the Israelites and captured some of them. Then Israel made this vow to the

Lord, if you will deliver these people into our hands, we will totally destroy their cities. The Lord listened to Israel's

plea and gave the Canaanites over to them. They completely destroyed them in their towns.
