great to be here with you today. Today and every day. It's great to be around the global campfire together as we gather take the next step forward together move forward in our week and in our lives.

So here we are, we're in the Book of Second Kings right now.

And we're moving through the different kings of Judah

and the kings of Israel, this divided kingdom that make up the 12 tribes.

And in first kings we witnessed the Prophet Elijah and his involvement.

And here in Second Kings we've been seeing

Elisha, the Prophet and his involvement.

We are also noticing a pretty steady decimation of everything that was these people at one time.

They are pretty steadily moving in a direction that is absolutely the opposite

direction they were told to go in and they're doing this as a people and so the erosion is becoming more and more evidence as we continue

the journey and so let's take the next step second Kings Kings, chapter 10, verse 32 through 12, verse 21 today. In those days the Lord began to reduce the size of Israel's territory.

Heseel attacked their eastern border. He conquered all the land of Gilead, including the territory of Gad,

Rubin, and Manassa, extending all the way from the Arior in the Arnon Valley through

Gilead to Bishan.

The rest of the events of Jehu's reign, including all his accomplishments and successes,

are recorded in the scroll called the Annals of the Kings of Israel.

Jehu passed away and was buried in Samaria.

His son Jeho has replaced him as king.

Jehu reined over Israel for 28 years in Samaria.

When Atalia, the mother of Ahesiah, saw that her son was dead, she was determined to destroy the entire royal line.

So Jehojoba, the daughter of King Jehoram and sister of Ahezaia took Ahesiah's son Joashash and stole him away from the rest of the royal descendants who were to be executed.
