Hi, I'm Brian. It is wonderful to be here with you today as we get together in this place that we make each day, the

global campfire. And there's room for everyone. Actually there's so much love to go around.

There's enough for everybody.

There's no lack.

And it's safe here.

And we can exhale here. And we can put down our guard here.

We've just come here to listen to the Bible.

And so we have this little oasis that we make for each other every day a place of safety

where we keep each other safe and allow God to speak for himself through his word.

Ah, that's a great place to be.

And so I'm glad we can be here today.

We're moving through the Book of Second Kings right now.

The rulers of the Northern King of Israel, the rulers of the Southern Kingdom of Judah, and the things that they did.

Second Kings chapters 13 and 14 today. In the 23rd year of the reign of Judas King Joash, son of Aiaziah,

Jehu's son, Jehoahaz, became king over Israel.

He reined in Samaria for 17 years.

He did evil in the sight of the Lord.

He continued in the sinful ways of Gera Boem son of Nibats, who had encouraged Israel to sin.

He did not repudiate those sins.

The Lord was furious with Israel and handed them over to King Hisale of Syria and to Hisale's son
