Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible.

I'm Brian. It is truly fantastic.

What a privilege that we have to be in a time where this can happen.

Where we can gather in this place that we call the global campfire as a community.

Every day where there's this kind of everyday rhythm and space for us,

safe space for us, to explore the inner workings of our own hearts as we allow the stories and teachings and convictions

in the scriptures to challenge and reorient us to God and so gratitude gratitude, grateful, thank you for being here.

Thank you for letting me be here with you today.

And we come here every day to take another step

on the journey through the scriptures.

And so that's why we're here to take another step.

We're working our way through the book of Second Kings at this point. Very dramatic story about pride yesterday with the story of

the Aramean military hero named Naaman and his interaction with the prophet Elisha.

Let's continue forward, Second Kings, chapters six and seven today.

The company of prophets said to Elisha, look, the place where we meet with you is too small for us.

Let us go to the Jordan where each of us can get a pole and let us build a place there for us to meet.

And he said, go.

Then one of them said, won't you please come with your servants? I will, Elisha replied, and he went with them. They went to the Jordan and began to cut down

trees. As one of them was cutting down a tree, the iron axe head fell into the water.

Oh no, my lord, he cried out. It was borrowed.

The man of God asked, where did it fall?
