I am Brian. It is fantastic to be together again as we gather and move forward another step, another day.

So we're working our way through First Kings as we know.

And we're working through the different kings of the Northern Kingdom of Israel

and the Southern Kingdom of Judah. And so we had to keep track of where we are because this family that we've been traveling with they've

become a nation now they've become two nations and so let's continue the

story first, chapter 22.

There was peace between Israel and Syria for the next two years, but in the third year King

Jehojefad of Judah went to see King Ahab of Israel.

Ahab asked his officials,

Why is it that we have not done anything to get back Raimaut and Gilead from the King of Syria?

It belongs to us."

And A Ab asked Jehojefad, will you go with me to attack Raymoth?

I am ready when you are, Jehojefad answered, and so are my soldiers and my cavalry. But first let's consult the Lord.

So Ahab called the prophets, about 400 of them and asked them,

should I go and attack Raymov or not?

Attack it, they answered.

The Lord will give you victory.

But Joseph had asked, isn't there another prophet through whom we can consult the Lord?

Heab answered, there is one more, but Kaya, son of Imla. But I hate him, because he never

prophesied anything good for me. It's always something bad.

He shouldn't say that.
