As we gather again in this special place that we create each day by showing up for each other and this

place we call the global campfire. So welcome.

So we finished the book of First Kings yesterday,

which will obviously lead us into second kings today.

There's not like a bunch we can talk about.

It's not like there's a big delineation of things that are going to happen.

These books, these manuscripts were broken up into the different

books that we have for the ease of finding the texts. So as we go into Second Kings, we're going to see the Prophet Elijah transfer his power to a new

prophet and his name will be Elisha and that is kind of the prophetic

delineation between these two books will have a new prophet as we continue

through the well the chronicling of Israel's Kings in the north and

Judah's Kings in the south.

So with that we begin today 2nd Kings chapters 1 and 2.
