Today is the 18th day of June.

Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I'm Brian.

It's great to be here with you today.

Every day is great.

At least this part of it,

this part of it, around the global campfire

here in this peaceful oasis that we have for each other,

that we're great together each day that were great together.

Each day.

So I'm glad another day, another step.

Another chance to be together.

I can't describe the transformation that it has been in my life.

So I am so grateful that we can be here together today to take the next

step forward we're working through First Kings right now and we have just recently met this prophet who has kind of come into the

scene his name is Elijah and he's in the northern kingdom of Israel and a lot has happened like he declared a famine on the land that rain

wouldn't happen and and it didn't for years and then he showed back up and announced

to rain would come and there was this humongous showdown on the top of Mount Carmel.

So Elijah representing God and then the prophets of Bail representing Bail are looking for fire to come down from heaven.

God answers with fire from heaven so the people see that and the

prophets of Bail are done away with.

Aliges goes back up on the mountain and prays and waits for rain and then he runs to Jesrael out in front of the storm.

That's kind of where we're picking up the story.
