Grateful, grateful, grateful that we can have this opportunity to take another step forward. Into the end of our week, but the next step forward in the scriptures.

And so let's do that. We're in the book of First Chronicles.

In the Old Testament, we've just begun the letter to the Romans and the new.

And so today, 1 Chronicles, Chapter 15,

1 through 16, verse 36.

After he had built houses for himself in David's city,

David prepared a place for God's chest and pitched a tent for it.

David said only the Levites may carry God's chest because the Lord's chest

because the Lord's chosen them to carry the Lord's chest and to minister to him forever.

David assembled all Israel in Jerusalem to bring the Lord's chest to the place he had prepared for it.

Nave had also gathered Arrens family and the Levites.

Urial, the leader of Coats family, and 120 of his relatives.

Asea, the leader of Marari's family and 220 of his relatives.

Joel, the leader of Gersham's family and 130 of his relatives.

Shamaia, the leader of Elsophon's family and 200 of his relatives.

Elleo, the leader of Habron's family and 80 of his relatives, and Minidab the leader of Uzayo's family and

112 of his relatives.

David called for the priests Zadoc and Abiathar and the Levites Uryl, Asea, Joo, Shamaia, Elle and Aminidab.
