Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible.

Hi, I am Brian. It is fantastic to be here around the global campfire today.

To move forward, one more step, another step forward,

of all the steps that we get to take this year leading us all the

way through the year and through the Bible, we are currently in the book of Exodus, just getting

going in the book of Exodus, just getting to know this Moses who has been sent into a pretty impossible situation to deliver the

children of Jacob, also known as the children of Israel, from their slavery, so that what

he has promised can begin to be fulfilled.

But it's not easy.

It's actually really hard.

Pretty much everything that Moses feared would happen is happening,

and so he's in the thick of it where he has to truly address faith, fear, and trust.

So let's take the story forward because so do we.

Exodus chapter 5 verse 22 through 7 verse 25.

So Moses went back to the Lord and said, Lord, why have you brought trouble on this people?

Why did you send me?

Ever since I came to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble on this people,

and you have not rescued your people at all.

The Lord said to Moses, now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh.

Because of a mighty hand, he will send them away, and because of a mighty hand he will drive them out of his land. And God spoke to Moses telling him, I am the Lord.

I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty.
