Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible.

I'm Brian. It is wonderful to be here with you today again around the global campfire as we gather.

I move forward together on this journey.

That continues all the way to the end of this year,

which is right out in front of us, starting to see it materialize,

and we will land well together, having read the entire Bible together.

So I'm excited to be here with you today.

It's new territory.

We're actually moving into the final grouping of books in the Old Testament.

Finish the book of Daniel yesterday.

So that brings us to another book of prophecy and we'll actually be in prophetic books

the rest of the Old Testament. But with a little bit of a distinction. So we're at the book of

Josea now. And that brings us into this final grouping of books known as the minor prophets.

And there are 12 of them, 12 minor prophets, beginning with the book of Hosea, which we're

about to read, and then ending with the book of Malachi, which is the last book of the Old

Testament.

So we have 12 books to read the last book of the Old Testament.

So we have 12 books to read before the end of the year in the Old Testament.

So we're obviously going to be moving quickly through them, which helps us understand why they have their name minor prophets.

It doesn't mean they were minor people, minor voices.

They were like the minor leagues of what God was doing in the world.
