Today is the fourth day of December.

Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible.

I am Brian.

It is fantastic to be here with you today as we greet another day.

Come back together around the global campfire.

I just kind of release any of the tension in life right now.

We're in a safe place together.

And we're just taking the next step forward in the scriptures

on this grand journey that we are so far.

Like, it's been almost a year, guys.

Like, we're going to be able to start seeing land soon.

Be able to start imagining our destination, that we're going to make it through the entire,

entirety of the Bible, because, well, because we are.

But we're still out at sea, I guess, as it were in this voyage.

It's great to be here with you today as we take the next step forward.

That leads us back, at least in terms of the Old Testament, into the book of Daniel.

Today, chapter 11, verse 36 through 12, verse 13.

Then the king will do whatever he wants.

He will exalt and magnify himself above every God,

and he will say outrageous things against the God of Gods.

He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, because what has been decreed will be accomplished.

He will not show regard for the gods of his ancestors, the God desired by women, or for any other God because he will magnify himself above all. Instead, he will honor a god of fortresses.
