Today is the 29th day of August. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible.

I'm Brian. It's wonderful to be here with you today as we do what we do gather here around the

global campfire just letting it go and letting the scriptures come in just kind of drip in word by word into our spirits

into our souls, allowing it to transform us, to challenge us in our lives, to reveal to us where

we are and the work that we need to do

and to bring us comfort and direction and clarity.

We're in the right place.

And so let's take the next step forward together.

We've been working our way pretty significantly through the book of Job.

It pretty much know the lay of the land.

Job is destroyed mentally, physically, spiritually.

He is... He is... he is, well he's in what we would now know as trauma.

And so he's definitely speaking and responding from this place, looking for God, looking for answers,

looking for understanding. He's got some friends that are really good friends.

They're staying with him. I came to him. They're there.

They're staying with him. But they're arguing, and it's gotten pretty existential.

Fighting over what God does and does not do what he will and will not do, who

he will and will not do it with.

And that's familiar, and that's familiar in suffering where

we're often, we're surrounded with the right answers.

But they've gotten beyond the right answers now and they're fighting

fighting over God's righteousness because Job is holding on to his innocence.
