And it is awesome to be here with you today as we take the next step forward.

We're going to land this month as we land a week.

But that's tomorrow and this is today and so we are here to take the step that will lead us in that direction

It's the next step forward for us

And that leads us back into the book of Job.

There's a new kind of voice that has come into the book of Job.

A younger man named Delai who's been listening to the conversation happening between Job and his three friends

and watching it escalate and kind of get out of control. Finally, Al-Iahu is like, I have to speak.

Can't keep my mouth shut anymore. You got to listen to me.

And so he's got some things to say and we'll be continuing that. In today's reading,

Job, chapter 34, 35 and 36.

Eli who continued to speak to Job and his friends.

Listen to my words, you wise men.

Open your ears to me, you intelligent men.

The ear tests words like the tongue tastes food.

Let's decide for ourselves what is right and agree among ourselves as to what is good

because Job is said I'm righteous but God has taken away my rights. I'm considered a

liar in spite of my rights. I've been wounded by a deadly

arrow though I haven't been disobedient. What person is like Joe who drinks scorn like water, who travels with troublemakers and associates with evil people.

He says, it doesn't do any good to try to please God.
