Today is the 28th day of the month of August.

Got my head on straight today.

Couldn't even remember what month it was.

Here we are, 28th day of August. My goodness, another

month has nearly flown by. But like we were talking about yesterday, we're here now and this is happening.

And so this is where we are.

And so let's be here together, taking the next step forward.

And this journey has led us deep into the Book of Job at this point, listening to, well, we're listening to a conversation

that has gone from comfort to argument to kind of existential arguments about the nature of God and what

he does and his power and what he will and will not do. Job is in deep trauma absolutely wiped out as a person and so he's

at the place where we get in deep suffering.

We start asking questions of the paradigms.

We start asking ourselves, do we understand?

Do we understand what we think we understand.

And his friends are like coming back in with the reinforcements defending God saying,

yeah, it's traditional everything that we, you know, we know traditional wisdom.

This is what God will and God will not do and Job is like yeah not so much I'm not sure about that anymore I have lots and lots of questions and there is only one place to get answers and that is God and I can't find

him. That should not be so completely distanced from things that we have thought at times in our lives.

And so the Bible is leading us into this territory.

And so let's continue.

Job, chapter 28, 29 and 30 today. day.
