Hello Unshaken Saints. Glad to have you back. In fact, before we dive into Scripture,

I just want to thank you, particularly any of you parents or grandparents out there

that are loaning me your children and grandchildren. This semester has been absolutely wonderful.

I'm teaching Jesus Christ in the everlasting gospel. I get to pull in Old Testament, New Testament,

Book of Mormon, Doctor and Covenants, the whole scriptural enchilada,

and talk about the Savior every single day. It's been absolutely glorious.

One of my favorite classes to teach and some of my favorite people to teach are your children and grandchildren.

I've been reading through all of their emails. I asked my students at the beginning of every semester.

Send me a personal email, Be as open and honest as you

can. Be brutally honest with your own where you are spiritually so I can help in any way possible.

But just this is our chance to get to know each other. And I'm amazed at how open they are,

how honest, how vulnerable and how just forthcoming with all their ups and downs and highs and lows,

it's been awesome. But many of them say, yeah, I'm here because of grandma.

Or I'm taking your class because my dad said I should.

And I'm, again, so grateful you would trust me with such precious cargo for the trip that we're on.

It's been absolutely awesome.

And many of you, when you come into town to Provo to visit and make sure your kids are using their tuition money wisely, many of you pop into class, and I love that too. It's been so fun to get to know many of you as you hide among the undergrads and glad to have you there. Now, this week, we have a lot of little things to cover in hopes of being able to

cover some some big material. We have 12 through 17 of the Doctrine Covenants and then that last

little portion of Joseph Smith history. And it's amazing. It's both micro and macro. It's both

individual and institutional.

The church is growing, right?
