Hello, my friends, and welcome to Unshaken. I decided to go a little casual today with a colored shirt, no tie, and I'm actually wearing running shoes, because we have to get ready to sprint.

I don't know if you've noticed, but we are picking up speed in the early history of the church.

We've been learning things about gaining testimonies and learning how to receive revelation and and beginning to spread the work abroad.

We've gone from the Smith family into Martin Harris and Oliver Cowdery.

David Whitmer is now on board along with all of his family members in the Whitmer family.

By the time we are getting to today's material, which is section 18, we are, we're going to

start talking about repentance.

And in fact, today and next week, just one section per week, today, 18, next week, 19.

Those are two different angles on repentance that are really fascinating.

Today is more of the carrot and next week is more of the stick. Now this is going to be more

of a positive approach to repentance. Joy becomes our keyword. And next week is not, I wouldn't

say negative, but more of a motivation from behind pushing us forward that we really need to do this.

And like I said, we'll see more of that next week.

But by the, but where we are today in section 18, we've had section 13 last week with the

restoration of the Aronic priesthood. The Melchizedic priesthood is restored around this same time

period. By the time, a couple weeks from now, we get to Section 20,

we've got the Constitution of the Church, and then April 6th comes on board, and we are ready to roll

with the establishment of the Church of Jesus Christ. Now, what's interesting about today in Section 18,

we're going to get first word that there will be 12 apostles chosen, which is pretty

speedy as far as the restoration is concerned. Like I said, the erronic priest had just got restored

last week, and the church isn't even on board yet. And yet, we're already looking ahead. Now,

we're not going to have an actual quorum of the 12 apostles until 1835. There's some things that have to happen to be able to identify who exactly does the Lord want sitting in those red chairs at General Conference.
