He led Indiana to a perfect season and the school's first national title, 16 and 0 record.

And now he's going to be honored.

This is exactly how our local heroes should be honored.

Kurt Signetti, head football coach of the Indiana University Hoosiers.

He will drive the honorary pace car at the 110th, Indy 500 on May 24th, 26, going between 100 and

125 miles per hour on the track.

Hope he feels the need for speed.

Yeah, this seems like a total no-brainer and like the easiest decision that the Indy 500 could

have done.

And let's be

honest, the Indiana Hoosiers this last year were the greatest story in college football history,

maybe one of the greatest stories in the history of all sports. So incredible. Captured the nation,

obviously all of us. Hoosiers are totally into it. The guy's right down the road in Bloomington

just makes total sense to have him drive in the pace car at the Indy 500. By the way, plenty of other sports figures have driven

the pace car in the past. People like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Arod, Emmett Smith. So not uncommon for

them to incorporate somebody else from the sports world and bring them into the sport of motor racing.

So Signetti's going to drive a Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X.
