0:35.6	My evening talk is on Awakening a Courageous Heart and it's the first of a recorded two-part
0:41.9	series that I put out a couple of years ago.
0:46.6	The word courage means greatness of heart and I love that word and it feels so relevant
0:54.1	right now because it takes much courage to live in times with so much insanity and aggression
1:01.4	and dividedness.
1:03.9	For many it's hard to see away forward and when it's like that, when that's the case,
1:09.4	we really need to have the courage to reconnect with exactly where we are, what we're experiencing,
1:16.0	the vulnerability, the powerlessness, the grief.
1:20.6	It's only that inner reconnecting that enables us to find that heart space that holds what's
1:27.2	unfolding around us and being able to respond with wisdom.
1:32.4	I do want to make one note about this talk over time, the humor that I share has become
1:39.4	more refined, hopefully in the direction of increasingly sensitive.
1:44.5	There's one joke that I shared in this talk that I would no longer share.
1:48.1	It's about hunters and it feels very, very toned at a time where we just know that gun
1:56.1	violence is a raw and painful heart in our world and something we really need to reduce.
2:05.0	I wanted to name that because I ask your forgiveness if that particular joke creates any harm,
2:11.5	any hurt and your psyche.
