Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Sprouts. Today is Thursday, May 21st, 2020.

This week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we are talking about our lady of lords who appeared to St.

Bernadette. And we have heard about St. Bernard's family, how she was sick, how Mary first appeared to St. Bernadette, and we have heard about St. Bernadette's family, how she was sick, how Mary first appeared to her, and how Mary has now asked Bernadette to come back to the

grotto for 15 days so that she can meet with her each of these days.

So let's talk about what happened. Now for 15 days, Bernadette went back to the grotto.

Each time she came, she brought with her a lit candle. And she also knelt down every time,

took out her rosary. Shortly after she knelt down, her face would begin to glow.

People that were there said it was an incredible, incredible thing to see and clearly showed to them that something supernatural was happening.

As she was kneeling there, of course, she was the only one that saw Mary appear wearing a white dress with a blue sash and a

beautiful yellow flower on each foot. But Mary would also take out a rosary and together they would

pray the rosary. Bernadette would basically lead the whole crowd that gathered there in the

rosary. Sometimes when Mary would appear, they would simply pray the

rosary together and Mary would vanish. Other times, she would talk privately to Bernadette and

tell her things that were just meant for her, that Bernadette was never meant to reveal to anyone

else. But other times, she would have messages, messages for the priest or for the local church.

So on the fifth time that Mary appeared to St. Bernadette in this place, she taught St.

Bernadette a private prayer. Bernadette never told a single soul what this prayer was,

but she did say that she prayed it every single day of her life.

What a beautiful idea that each of us can have this specific little beautiful prayer just for us.

So each of the days that Bernadette went there, the crowd that came with her got to be a little bit bigger.

And of course, the people that came there, most of them really did genuinely believe
