Welcome back to the Catholic Sprouts podcast,

where we are working our way through the Gospels this school year.

We are on day nine and are reading from the Gospel of Matthew. Today you will hear chapter 3 verses 1 through 17. Among other things in this passage, we will be reading about the

baptism of Jesus Christ. Today I am reading from the New American Trans translation of the Bible. As you listen, please

follow along and take notes in the gospel in a school year notebook, which is a free download that you can find by following the notes for this podcast episode.

Remember, my friends, that God's holy word, scripture, is alive and

active and that God oftentimes wants to speak directly to us through His Holy Word. So let's open up our
