Hey, Sprouts, welcome back to the Catholic Sprouts podcast where we are reading through the Gospels this school year.

Today is day 85 of this journey.

We are in the gospel of Mark, and we'll be reading chapter 11 verses 15 through 33 we are in

Passion Week and today we will watch Jesus cleanse the temple I'm reading from the new

American translation of the Bible I encourage you to follow along and also before we begin

let's pray.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.

Send forth your spirit, and they shall be created.

And you will renew the face of the earth amen in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen a reading from the holy gospel according to mark

chapter 11 verses 15 through 33.

They came to Jerusalem, and on entering the temple area, he began to drive out those selling and buying there.

He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves.

He did not permit anyone to carry anything through the temple area.

Then he taught them saying,

It is written,

My house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.

But you have made it a den of thieves.

The chief priest and the scribes came to hear of it and were seeking away but you have made it a den of thieves.
