Hey, welcome back to the Catholic Sprout's podcast, where we are reading the Gospels this school year.

Today is day 80 of this journey.

We are in the Gospel of Mark, reading chapter 9 verses 30 through 50, where we

will hear about sin and temptation. I am reading from the New American Translation of the Bible.

I encourage you to follow along or take notes. And also, let's open our hearts. Let's ask the Holy Spirit to come and help us receive

God's Holy Word and listen to what he says. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the

Holy Spirit, amen. Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.

Send forth your spirit and they shall be created.

And you will renew the face of the earth.

Amen.

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark chapter 9, verses 30 through 50.

They left from there and began a journey through Galilee, but he did not wish anyone to know about it.

He was teaching his disciples and telling them,

The son of man is to be handed over to men, and they will kill him,

and three days after his death he will rise.

But they did not understand the saying, and they were afraid to question him.

They came to Copernum, and once inside the house, he began to ask them,

What were you arguing on the way?
