Welcome back to the Catholic Sprouts podcast where we are reading through the Gospels this school year.

Today is Day 76.

We are reading the Gospel of Mark, Chapter 8 14 through 26 and in this passage we will watch Jesus

heal a blind man. As always I'm reading from the new American translation of the Bible and I ask you to join me in prayer so that our hearts can be open to God's holy word today.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.

Send forth your spirit and they shall be created and you will renew the face of the earth.

Amen.

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark, chapter 8, verses 14 through 26.

They had forgotten to bring bread and they had only one loaf with them in the boat.

He enjoined them, watch out, guard against the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.

They concluded among themselves that it was because they had no bread. When he became aware of this, he said to them,

why do you conclude that it is because you have no bread? Do you not yet understand or comprehend?

Are your hearts hardened? Do you have eyes and not see, ears, and not hear?And do you not remember when I broke the five loaves for the five thousand,

"'how many wicker baskets full of fragments you picked up?'

"'They answered him, twelve.

"'When I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand,
