Hey there, welcome back to the Catholics Prouds podcast where we are reading through the Gospels this school year.

Today is day 72.

We are in the Gospel of Mark reading chapter 6 verses 34 through 52 in this section we are going to see

Jesus feed the 5,000 now I'm reading from the new American translation of the Bible and I invite you to join me in prayer so that we can open our hearts to receive God's message.

In the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful, and kindle in them the fire of your love.

Pour forth your spirit, and they shall shall be created and you will renew the face

of the earth. Amen. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark, chapter 6, verses 34 through 52.

When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd, his heart was moved with pity for them,

for they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them many things. By now it was already

late and his disciples approached him and said, This is a deserted place, and it is already very

late. Dismiss them so they can go to the surrounding farms and villages and buy themselves something to eat.

He said to them in reply, give them some food yourselves.

But they said to him, are we to buy 200 days wages worth of food and give it to them to eat?

He asked them, how many loaves do you have? Go and see.

And when they had found out, they said, five loaves and two fish. So he gave orders to have them sit down

in groups on the green grass. The people took their places in rows by hundreds and by

50s. Then taking the loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven. He said the blessing,
