where we are reading through the Gospels this school year.

Today is day 68.

We are reading the Gospel of Mark,

Chapter 5 verses 1 through 20. Specifically, you'll hear about Jesus performing an exorcism today. I'm reading from the New American Translation

of the Bible, consider following along or taking notes, and please join me in prayer as we open our hearts to receive God's message

today. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen. Come, Holy Spirit,

fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your

spirit, and they shall be created

and you will renew the face of the earth. Amen. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the

Holy Spirit, amen. A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark, chapter 5 verses 1 through 20.

They came to the other side of the sea to the territory of the garrisons.

When he got out of the boat at once a man from the tombs who had an unclean spirit met him.

The man had been dwelling among the tombs, and no one could restrain him

any longer, even with a chain. In fact, he had frequently been bound with shackles and chains,

but the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles smashed, and no one was strong enough to subdue him.

Night and day among the tombs and on the hillside, he was always crying out and bruising himself

with stones. Catching sight of Jesus from a distance, he ran up and prostrated himself before him, crying out in a loud voice.

What have you to do with me, Jesus, son of the most high God?
