Hey, welcome back to the Catholic Spouts podcast where we are reading through the Gospels this school year.

We are on day 69, reading the Gospel of Mark chapter 5 verses 21 through 43.

In this section, we are going to hear one of my favorite stories, the story that includes

both Gyrus's daughter and the woman suffering with hemorrhages.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen. A reading from the Holy Gospel

according to Mark, chapter 5, verses 21 through 43. When Jesus had crossed again in the boat

to the other side, a large crowd gathered around him, and he stayed close to the sea.

One of the synagogue officials, named Jairus, came forward.

Seeing him, he fell at his feet and pleaded earnestly with him, saying,

My daughter is at the point of death.

Please, come lay your hands on her that she may get well and live.

He went off with him and a large crowd followed him and pressed upon him.

There was a woman afflicted with hemorrhages for 12 years.
