Today is day 67.

We're reading from the Gospel of Mark, specifically chapter 4, verses 35 through 41.

And in this passage, we will hear the story of Jesus calming the storm.

I'm reading from the New American Translation of the Bible.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.

Pour forth your spirit and they shall be created and you will renew the face of the earth. Amen.

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark, chapter 4, verses 35 through 41.

On that day, as evening drew on, he said to them, let us cross to the other side.

Leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat just as he was.

And other boats were with him. A violent squall came up and the waves were breaking over the boat

so that it was already filling up. Jesus was in the stern asleep on a cushion. They woke him and said to him,

Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing? He woke up, rebuked the storm, and said to the sea,

Quiet, be still. The wind ceased and there was great calm. Then he asked them, why are you frightened?
