Welcome back to the Catholic Sprouts podcast where we are reading through the Gospels this school year.

Today is day 55, our final day of introduction to the gospel of Mark. This week so far, we have met Mark

the person. We learned when he wrote the gospel, who he wrote the gospel for, and how he

organized the events that we will read in his gospel. Now, today we're going to dig a little

deeper, and we're going to discover some of the

themes that we should be on the lookout for in Mark, and also just themes that I hope will

transform our hearts as we read God's Holy Word.

major themes that we should be on the lookout for in mark's gospel, there are many things that will sound familiar,

especially since we just read Matthews Gospel. We are going to see, of course, that Jesus is an

active healer, that he can control the seas and cure diseases, mend broken bodies, that he can do any number

of incredible things.

But one word that you will hear repeatedly in Mark's gospel is a word immediately, immediately.

In fact, we hear this word over 40 word immediately. Immediately.
