Today is day 44.

We are reading Matthew's Gospel, the conclusion of chapter 25, specifically verses 31 through 46.

Now, in this, we are going to hear the judgment of the nations.

Today I'm reading from the new American translation of the Bible.

I encourage you to follow along and take notes. Also, remember that God's holy word is alive and active, that he has specific message for us. So let's open our hearts up

to receive it. In the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful, and kindle in them the fire of your love.

Send forth your spirit, and they shall be created, and you will renew the face of the earth,

amen.

A reading from the Holy Gospel of Matthew, chapter 25, verses 31 through 46.

When the Son of Man comes in his glory and all the angels with him, he will sit upon his glorious

throne, and all the nations will be assembled before him, and he will separate them one from another,

as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

Then the king will say to those on his right, come, you who are blessed by my father, inherit the

kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food.

I was thirsty and you gave me drink.

A stranger and you welcomed me.
