We are in the Gospel of Matthew, and today we are starting chapter six. We will be reading verses 1 through 21, and in this section, we will hear John's account of the multiplication

of loaves. As always, I am reading from the New American Translation of the Bible, but before we

begin, let's pray. In the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,

amen. Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful, and kindle in them the fire of your love.

food for them to eat? He said this to test them, because he himself knew what he was going to do.
