Today is day 153, and we are working through our introduction to the Gospel of John, which we are going to begin reading in about three days. Today, we are going to talk about the specific audience that St. John

wrote his gospel for. But before we dive into that, let's pray. In the name of the Father and of the

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.

So we've already talked about who St. John the evangelist was when he wrote this gospel.

And now we're going to tackle who he wrote this gospel for.

Now, in the biggest sense, we can say that St. John Evangelist wrote his gospel for the church.
