Today is day 151.

We are officially three-fourths of the way through, and we are starting the fourth

and final gospel found in the Bible, which is the gospel according to John. Congratulations.

We're going to make it through. I'm proud of both of us. So this week, we are going to spend

time introducing ourselves to this gospel.

As we mentioned before, there are many similarities between the gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke.

John has some of the same stories, but it is definitely different. The way the gospel is structured, the type of language used, everything.

There's characters that we're going to meet in this gospel that we haven't ever met before.

I'm very excited to go through John with you, but I think it's especially important that we have

an idea of where we're heading before we dive in. So that's what we're

going to do this week. In fact, today, we're going to talk about the author of this gospel,

St. John, the Evangelist. But before we dive into that, let's pray. In the name of the Father and of the

Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen. Come, Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful, and kindle in them the fire of your love.
