Today is day 104 of this journey, and we are almost done with our week of introducing the gospel of Luke. We've already talked about Luke as an author when this gospel was written, who he wrote it for.

And today and tomorrow, we're going to talk about the actual structure and themes of the gospel

of Luke. But before we do any of that, of course, let's pray. In the name of the Father and of the

the actual gospel of luke so the structure of luke's gospel is both beautifully written and logically arranged. It is clear that he put a lot of time, thought, energy, intellectual activity into writing this beautiful gospel. Now, it shares the same storyline as Matthew and Mark, which of course has led

many scholars over the centuries to believe that they had the same source. That source was

most likely Mark's gospel, since it was Peter's gospel. However, Luke's gospel is the only one with

the infancy narrative, which tradition tells us he

received directly from Mary, the mother of God. And through this, Luke, in this masterful way,

who has a very complete knowledge of the Old Testament, shows us that Jesus, his birth,
