| 0:00.0 | You're listening to Catholic Sprouts, the daily podcast for Catholic kids that strives to plant seeds of faith. |
| 0:39.0 | Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Thursday, May 12th, 2020. All week we have been hearing from my younger sister, Little Sister, Halel. She is a fully professed nun with the community of the lamb, and she has shared already how she knew she was called to be a sister, what her community, the community of the Lamb is like, what they do, |
| 0:45.2 | what their life is. She also talked yesterday about what it means to be married to Jesus. |
| 0:50.4 | And today, we're going to tackle the question that I'm sure is probably one of the first things that you've wondered about. |
| 0:57.3 | And since she shared that her order is contemplative and their first calling is to pray, they pray a lot. |
| 1:06.1 | We asked her if prayer ever gets boring. |
| 1:10.4 | And here's what she had to say. So yeah, because we're contemplatives, |
| 1:14.6 | we spend a lot of time in prayer, like hours every day praying. Actually, the best thing ever |
| 1:23.8 | would be to the old day to be talking to Jesus. Sometimes we get to do that, sometimes not. |
| 1:29.9 | But just to be with Jesus. And it's true, sometimes it's a little difficult because you're like, |
| 1:34.1 | well, I'm here again. But the beautiful thing is, is that with the Word of God, with Scripture, |
| 1:40.5 | with the gospel, it's like every day a new story because every day it's a good news. Have you |
| 1:46.6 | guys ever heard that? That the word of God is called the good news because it's something good |
| 1:51.4 | that said to me and something new. It's new. Every day it's new. It's not like something old |
| 1:58.0 | that happened like 2,000 years ago, but it's like the good news, |
| 2:02.3 | something that's new today and that's going to say something to my heart today about maybe |
| 2:07.2 | something that I need to maybe change in my life, you know, to help me love someone a little bit |
| 2:13.1 | better. Or maybe Jesus is just going to tell me today, oh, you know what, this part of you is really beautiful. |
| 2:20.0 | Every day he's going to speak to me because God's word is alive and living. |
| 2:25.1 | So it's not something that's boring every day, the same thing. |
| 2:28.3 | No, it's always new, alive, living because Jesus is someone who's alive. |
| 2:34.1 | He's at Rose from the Dead and he's here alive with us |
