| 0:00.0 | You're listening to Catholic Sprouts, the daily podcast for Catholic kids that strives to plant seeds of faith. |
| 0:40.0 | Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Tuesday, May 10th, 2020. Today is also the feast day of one of my favorite saints, St. Damien of Molokai. St. Damien was born in Belgium, but he traveled to Hawaii when he was still a young man, where he was ordained a priest and quickly found that he was called to minister to the lepers, that at this time |
| 0:46.7 | when there was no cure for leprosy, were sent to an island to live by themselves. That island |
| 0:51.8 | was called Molokai. Before he arrived, they were living in |
| 0:56.7 | great poverty with terrible suffering, no one to care for them. And when he went to this island |
| 1:02.4 | to care for them, he was told that once he arrived, he would never be able to leave because people |
| 1:07.8 | were so worried about the contagious nature of leprosy. |

| 1:26.2 | He was cared for by the lepers there in Molokai. And he is named a saint |
| 1:31.7 | because he gave his life for those that were truly suffering. And he was not afraid of lepers, |
| 1:38.0 | just like our Lord Jesus Christ. Now today, Sprouse, my younger sister, little sister Halel, is here to talk again about her |
| 1:47.9 | vocation as a religious sister. Today, she will be tackling the question of just what her |
| 1:55.1 | community is like. And feel free to listen. If you want more information about the community of the lamb or the |
| 2:02.9 | Little Sisters of the Lamb. You can find a direct link to their community in the notes for this |
| 2:08.1 | podcast episode. Also, if you are a local to Kansas City or live in the area, you can go and |
| 2:15.3 | meet them. They live in Kansas City, Kansas. But here is Little Sister Hello. |
| 2:22.6 | So the little sisters of the lamb were sisters in blue. We wear blue. Our habit is all in blue |
| 2:30.4 | because it's the color. It's Mary's color. Mary is often seen in blue, but also because |
| 2:35.0 | it's the color of heaven. So we want to also bring this light of heaven here on earth. So we are in |
