Hey there, Spouts. Today is Monday, May 9th, 2022. Now this week on the Catholic Spouts podcast, I have a special treat for you. My younger sister, who is a fully professed sister

in the community of the lamb, is here to talk about some really common questions that you might have about the religious life, about being a nun.

So all week she's going to talk about how she knew she was called to be a sister, the community that she belongs to, which is called the Little Sisters

of the Lamb, what it means to be married to Jesus, if prayer ever gets boring, and how she feels

about the fact that she will never have children. So we're going to talk about all of these things.

She's here to tell you all about it. And today, she's tackling the first question, which is how she knew she was called to be a little sister.

So I first got to know what sisters were because my mom would send me to go meet sisters at this summer camp every summer. And when I was

about 12 or 13 years old, I'm not really sure. I don't really remember as I was coming back from this

summer camp. I was with my mom in the car. And I said to my mom, I think I want to be a sister. And I just started crying and crying, but really not because

I was sad, but because it was like I was sharing the deepest part of my heart with her. As a years

went by because I was pretty young then. I later realized that it's like it wasn't just this

call to give my life to Jesus, a generic,

if you will, call, you know, ho-hum. But it was really like, God placed desires in my heart

that he wanted to fulfill. Like, I knew that if I wanted to be happy, I had to be poor, that I had to give everything to

Jesus, that I needed to leave everything for him. So even my family, even maybe my country,

everything. He wanted all of me, so I had to leave everything for him. And I also had a great, great thirst to know scripture,

the Bible, to read the Bible. And so I was able to see these desires I had in my heart. And once

I saw these desires, I was then met the community that I'm in, so the Little Sisters of the

Lamb. I met them, and I was able to the community that I'm in, so the little sisters of the lamb.

I met them, and I was able to see that this was the place where all my desires would be fulfilled.

And for me, it was like this great revelation, something very simple that maybe all of you already know,
