Today is the seventh day in the fifth month in the year of our Lord 2022.

My name is Sir Roland Paterlot, and you're listening to Saturdays with Sir Roland on Catholic Sprouts where every Saturday we discuss the art of dragon slain.

Today, we're going to discuss two

very serious obstact dragons in Sir Wyvern's manual by the names of Golgoth and Rendegon.

Symptoms of these dragons include feelings of rejection, humiliation, and fear of abandonment.

These dragons attacked Jesus himself on Golgotho when he was being crucified,

as Jesus cried out from the cross,

My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?

On the surface, it looks like these two behemoth dragons defeated Jesus.

But as you well know, Jesus is way smarter than any dragon,

and he often uses the enemy's own weapon against him

to send him into defeat, and that's the case here. Why do you think Jesus asked this question?

Well, I think he asked the question knowing that one day you would not only ask the question

yourself, but you would desperately need an answer to the question. When you get to the big game,

and it comes down to the final shot,

and you take the shot and it bounces off the front of the rim,

and your team loses the game, you're going to ask,

God, why did you abandon me?

Or when you study really hard only to fail your math quiz,

or when your best friend betrays your trust and says something terrible about you behind your back
