Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Monday, February 28, 2022. And guess what? Although we are in ordinary time right now, it will be ending very soon. This week on Wednesday, Ash Wednesday, we will be entering the season of Lent.

0:43.0

For Lent, we here on the podcast, we'll be talking about the seven deadly sins.

0:50.6

They are vices, the things that tempt us the most that steal our hearts away from God the most.

0:58.6

So we will be looking at these, and we are going to be using venerable Fulton Sheen, who was an American archbishop.

1:06.7

We're going to be using a book that he wrote called Victory Over Vice to talk about these things.

2:11.5

negative about God, you should have an angry response. In fact, do we see Jesus have anger at one key moment in the gospel?

2:21.1

And we call that moment the cleansing of the temple.

2:24.2

He came into the temple in Jerusalem,

2:26.5

and he saw all of these booths, these money changers and merchants set up in God's holy place

2:32.8

where people were meant to worship, and he got mad, right?

2:36.5

They were not using God's holy temple in the way that it should be used. They were also taking
