You're listening to Catholic Sprouts, the daily podcast for Catholic kids that strives to plant seeds of faith.

Hi Catholic Sprouts. I'm Christina Valenzuela, the owner of a business called Pearl and Thistle,

0:33.4

and I'm here for one final episode in our ongoing series about the language of our bodies.

0:39.2

Just to recap, we've talked about how all humans are made in the image and likeness of God,

0:44.1

which means that we're created to give and receive love, and we do this through our bodies.

0:50.8

We've learned about how our body speaks a language of love and how we should respect our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit,

0:57.8

but now we're going to ask an important question. If our bodies are so important,

1:08.9

and in the Nicene Creed we say, I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the

1:43.3

world to come. Have you ever stopped and

1:47.0

thought about those words? I look forward to the resurrection of the dead. What does that mean?

1:55.0

I didn't know what that meant until I went to college because I sort of said it each week without really thinking about it.

2:01.8

It was just something I said during Mass.

2:04.4

But I want to think about it with you right now.

2:06.9

Let's think about what this resurrection of the dead is.

2:10.8

We know that Jesus rose from the dead.

2:14.9

He died on the cross, and on the third day, he rose from the dead, and died on the cross, and on the third day he rose from the dead, and that was

2:19.1

the resurrection. But that has already happened. So what resurrection are we looking forward to
