Today is the 28th day in the 10th month in the year of our Lord, 2021.

My name is Sir Roland Paterallot, your host this week on Catholic Spouse, where we are talking about dragon slaying.

So far this week, we've talked about what a dragon is, the sins and temptations that keep us from becoming saints.

We talked about how to be healed of our dragon wounds and reconciliation.

We talked yesterday about all the great weapons that God gives us through Holy Church, Holy Mother Church, and all the sacraments and the sacramentals and all those great weapons.

And today we're going to continue talking about how to slay dragons, but first I must mention a couple dragon slayers of old by the names of St. Simon and Jude, whose feast day is today.

Simon and Jude were two of the original apostles who walked and talked with the chief dragon slayer. And they were great dragon slayers of selves. Of course,

they gave their lives as martyrs to spread the faith and build our great Holy Catholic Church

from the very beginning. And I would just like to say that it's pretty cool that they share

a feast day together.

That's defeating a dragon right there by the name of Averis, who's a really greedy dragon.

If you read the Dragon Slayer Manual, he's full of greed and he wants you to have more and more and

more stuff and always think of yourself. And he tends to come around during this time of year when we

get to the holidays and get closer to Christmas. He's the dragon whispering in your head like, you need this, you need this, you need this,

you need this, more, more, more, more, more, more.

I need this, me, me, me, me, me.

Yeah, don't listen to that dragon.

St. Simon and Jude can help you slay that dragon.
