| 0:41.6 | My name is Sir Roland Paterla, and it has been my pleasure to be with you all week on Catholic Spr sprouts to teach you the art of dragon slain, where we learned how to recognize a dragon. |
| 0:44.9 | We learned how to be healed of all dragon wounds and reconciliation. |
| 0:50.1 | We learned the power to slay a dragon with grace through sacramentals and great sacraments, |
| 0:53.7 | and we learned the power of the rosary and the stories of great dragon slayers of old. |
| 0:58.0 | And today, our final day together, I would like to tell you a story, |
| 1:06.0 | my favorite dragon slayer story, a story that begins 1500 years after it ended. |
| 1:15.6 | In the year 1802, in the catacombs of St. Priscilla and Rome, they found an unknown grave that they'd never found before. And the grave was marked with the name of Philomena. |
| 1:18.6 | And they knew from the grave that it was a martyr because there was a vial of blood and different symbolism, symbolizing a martyr. |
| 1:25.6 | And they knew that she was about 13 years old when she died, |
| 1:29.0 | and she lived in the third or fourth century. And that's all they knew about her. And one day, |
| 1:34.8 | a really holy priest from Magnano, Italy, came looking for the relics of a martyr because his |
| 1:40.5 | parishioners were being attacked by a dragon named Slackbottom, who we talked about |
| 1:45.3 | before. They were lazy. They were apathetic. They were going through motions. They had no |
| 1:50.5 | passion and zeal, and he figured if he could bring the relics of a martyr, it might wake them up. |
| 1:55.3 | And so they gave him the relics of Philomena. And immediately, when he returned back, |
| 2:00.1 | miracles upon miracles began to happen. People were |
| 2:03.1 | being cured of all kind of illnesses and sicknesses, and it is on this occasion that a woman named |
| 2:08.8 | Pauline Jericho, under the direction of St. John Viani, who had a special devotion to Philomena, |
| 2:15.1 | sent her to Magnano to be healed of a heart condition because she was dying. |
