Hey there, Spouse. Today is Tuesday, October 12th, 2021.

Now, we are starting to look at why the Catholic faith is so good.

This week, our focus is looking back at history and showing how Christianity, which for the first thousand years that the church existed, was exclusively Catholicism, how this

built all of modern society, things that we have like science, law, charity, all of these things grew

out of our Catholic faith. Now, the world around us, maybe even prevailing thoughts taught

in schools might claim that the church or even religion in general is against science,

that we don't like scientific achievements or even in the past that the church itself has

repressed or stopped scientists. Now, there are, of course, our church is very big. It is made up

of sinners. There are most

definitely people that have made wrong choices along the way. But what I want you to listen for

as we go through an incredible list of scientists that made incredible breakthroughs, many of whom

were religious or priests.

Listen, and just marvel at how the church became a place where science exploded,

where suddenly science was something that we could learn and explore.

And now there are reasons why this happened.

So we're going to go through a big list of very impressive scientists, and I'm sure that you've

heard of in science class before. But before we get to that, I want you to really understand

why Christianity allowed for science to even be a subject of study.

So if you think back before Christianity, before Christ, most of the people on this planet were pagan.

Means they worshipped many different gods.

And part of that many different God worship is that they worshipped the earth.
