| 0:00.0 | You're listening to Catholic Sprouts, the daily podcast for Catholic kids that strives to plant seeds of faith. |
| 0:39.0 | Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Wednesday, September 29th, 2021. Today is also the feast day of the Archangels. We are celebrating today, St. Michael, the Archangel, Gabriel, the archangel, and Raphael. |
| 0:44.8 | Each of these archangels played a very important role. Just a quick overview. |
| 0:52.1 | St. Michael, of course, led the army of heaven against Satan, and he continues to be our protector against Satan and temptation. St. Gabriel came on a |
| 0:56.9 | couple of special missions right before Jesus was born. He announced the birth to Mary. He also appeared |
| 1:04.6 | to Zachariah, the father of St. John the Baptist. And finally, Rayfuel the traveler, we meet him in a few of the Old |
| 1:13.1 | Testament books. But these are special angels with special missions, and we are celebrating |
| 1:20.2 | them today. Now, all week sprouts, we have been talking about Christianity. Now, the major thing that separates Christianity |
| 1:29.9 | from other religions is Jesus Christ. We believe that He is God and other faiths do not. |
| 1:39.5 | So at the beginning of the week, we said there was four possibilities for Jesus, that he was a legend, made up, that he was a liar, that he was a lunatic or crazy, or, of course, the option we know to be true that Jesus is Lord. |
| 1:55.2 | Yesterday, we dismissed that he is a legend by looking at the fact that the gospel writings are true and reliable, |
| 2:02.2 | even from a strictly historical point of view. |
| 2:05.4 | Today, we're going to look at both the points that he could be, |
| 2:09.1 | although we know he's not a liar or crazy. |
| 2:13.2 | So, many people probably have overlooked the fact that Jesus repeatedly in the gospel |
| 2:20.8 | identifies himself as God. |
| 2:25.4 | Now, sometimes he doesn't do this overtly. |
| 2:28.1 | He doesn't say, hey, everybody listen up, I'm God. |
| 2:31.3 | And the reason why he doesn't do this, of course, there's many reasons, but one of the most |
| 2:35.4 | obvious is that he claimed to be God, the Romans would have seen him as a threat, because even the |
| 2:43.1 | emperor at the time, he saw himself as God. And you know, the Romans didn't have any problems |
| 2:48.8 | with just getting rid of someone. |
