Hey there, Sproutses. Today is Tuesday, September 28th, 2021.

0:29.5

Now, this week we are talking about Christianity.

0:33.2

We are wondering why Christianity is the true religion, especially among all the big world religions.

0:41.6

And of course, if we're looking closely at Christianity, we have to look at Jesus Christ.

0:46.5

The major claim of Christianity is that Jesus is God.

0:53.6

We really should believe that. If we're going to call ourselves Christians,

0:57.4

we need to make sure that we understand and have fully embraced that belief. So let's get

1:04.9

started. Now, to work through this this week, we are going to use one of my favorite authors, C.S. Lewis. Now, C.S. Lewis

1:14.8

wrote the Narnia series, including the line, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, which I love.

1:36.6

And the options, if we truly look at what Jesus said in scripture, is that he either was a liar, what he said was not true,

1:47.5

that he was a lunatic, that he was crazy, that he was Lord. Those are the three options.

1:54.9

A liar, a lunatic, or Lord. Now, in our modern world where we doubt everything many people have claimed that

2:05.1

there is a fourth option that jesus was a legend that like he didn't exist like other

2:12.9

legends perhaps like greek mythology or just any sort of made-up story that Jesus also is a made-up

2:21.4

story. So those are the four options we have, that he was a liar, a lunatic, a legend, like a made-up

2:29.7

story, or that he is Lord. So if you imagine these four things lined up in front of you, we're going to go

2:35.9

through and we're going to knock these down one after another so that in the end, all that is

2:41.3

standing is the fact that Jesus is Lord, Jesus is God himself, and that we can really stand
