0:54.3	Today is also the feast day of a French saint, St. Vincent de Paul.
0:57.0	Now, perhaps that name is familiar.
1:05.7	There is maybe a charity or a secondhand store near where you live called St. Vincent de Paul or the St. Vincent-Depal Society.
1:11.9	This is because even at the time of his death and still today, St. Vincent de Paul was an incredible example of loving the poor, of seeing their needs, giving them food and clothing, helping them
1:19.8	in any way we can, even if that means simply burying them after they have died. St. Vincent de Paul,
1:30.6	pray for us. Now, this week on the Catholic Spouts podcast, we are continuing on with our investigation of why we believe what we believe,
1:39.3	why we are Catholic. Now, we haven't quite gotten to the Catholic point yet. We started at the very
1:45.6	beginning. If you remember, the first week, we found clues for God's existence. We found many
1:51.2	and proved that, in fact, God is real. Last week, we looked at religion. Now, why is it that we
1:57.9	need to belong to a religion that has beliefs and practices?
2:03.0	Why is that so much better than just making it up ourselves and just trying to find God on our own?
2:10.0	And of course, lots of reasons, but mostly just that we can grow on the experiences of others and more perfectly worship God. And so today, the question that we can grow on the experiences of others and more perfectly worship God.
2:19.6	And so today, the question that we are left with now is, okay, if God is real, if religion
2:26.2	is good, then which religion? Which one? Because as you might know, there are many.
2:33.6	In fact, just the major world religions
2:37.3	include Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and Buddhism. And there's many that I haven't even mentioned
2:46.8	here. Now, the question, since we are Christian Christian and we're trying to really understand why this
2:54.4	choice is the best choice, if we're really going to defend why Christianity is the true
