Today is Monday, April 5th, 2021.

And of course, this is also the Monday in the octave of Easter.

Happy Easter, Alleluia.

As they say in the Eastern Church, Christ is risen from the dead,

trampling down death by death.

And to those in graves, he is bestowing life. So, happy Easter. I hope that you had a beautiful Easter,

but not that you just had a beautiful Easter, that you are continuing to, because Easter is such a

big, big deal that we celebrate for eight days. So today is just day number two of the celebration of

Easter. And to celebrate, we will be talking about Easter all week long on the podcast. So to kick

things off, first of all, why is Easter so important? Well, Easter is so, so, so important because of everything that we've talked about this year. As we've been studying Christ, we learned that he came to fight a specific enemy. That enemy was Satan and sin and death. All of the things that humanity had fallen into

after Adam and Eve committed that first sin. People continued to listen to the temptations of

Satan. They continued to sin. And the gap between humans and God grew further and further.

It was big, big, big.

But Christ came to do battle in that space, in our hearts, and he won.

That is what we are celebrating.

Christ didn't just come back to life.

That's not what happened at all. He went through death. He conquered death. And when we see him after the resurrection, he isn't just in the same

old body. Yes, he still has flesh and blood. People see his wounds. People watch him eat and cook,
