Hey there, sprouts. Today is Monday, May 25th, 2020. This week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we are going to be talking about Our Lady of Cabahoe. Now, May is Mary's month,

and all month we have been talking about Marian apparitions, or times when Mary came to earth and appeared with a specific message for the whole world.

We've already talked about Juan Diego in Mexico and Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Next, we talked about Our Lady of Fatima when she appeared in Fatima, Portugal,

to three poor shepherd children. And this last week, we talked about Our Lady of Lords,

when Mary appeared to St. Bernardette. Now, this week, we are going to be talking about a time

when Mary and Jesus appeared in Rwanda in a tiny little town

called Cubejo. Now here is what's most interesting about Our Lady of Cabejo. It happened

not that long ago. In fact, Our Lady of Cabejo, those apparitions or appearances started in 1981, and they went

until 1989. So it was over a series of years. And our Lady of Cabejo appeared in Rwanda to

three visionary girls. And Jesus appeared to several other people as well.

So this happened in Rwanda.

Now, before we go any farther, I want you to talk to the adult that is with you, and I want them to name all of the people, or at least a couple of the people, that you know who were alive on this earth in 1981.

Maybe your dad, maybe your older uncle, for sure your grandparents.

Now, 1981 was not that long ago.

It was less than 40 years ago.

So it happened within the lifetime of people on this earth, which proves to us

that Mary is still active. All of these amazing things that you read about in the stories of the

saints, some of them, yeah, they happened a long, long time ago. And it can make us believe that

these things simply don't happen anymore, that in our modern world,

Mary and Jesus can't talk to us.
