Hey there, sprouts. Today isoutz. Today is Tuesday, March 17th, 2020. And it is also the feast day of a beloved saint.

0:41.1

Today is the feast day of St. Patrick. So if your name is Patrick, if you are Irish, or if you simply like the color green, I would like to wish you a very happy feast day. Now, St. Patrick is an amazing

0:47.6

saint. And he has a lot to teach us about the sin of pride and the way that we should be acting if we want to really rely on

0:56.4

They worshipped idols, and they did all sorts of really terrible things in this worship and practice.

1:56.6

Now, eventually, after six years, Patrick was able to escape.

2:01.8

He escaped the people that had him as a slave, and he went back to England.

2:06.7

Eventually, he found his family.

2:10.0

Now, during this time, he also began to feel a call to the priesthood.

2:14.6

He answered that call and was ordained a priest. But he also started to feel a call

2:20.5

to go back to Ireland. Now, this might seem crazy. If you had been kidnapped and forced to be a

2:28.0

slave for six years and been treated so terribly, would you want to go back there and help those people?

2:36.5

Well, most people would not want to do that. But St. Patrick felt a very strong calling from
