Hey there, Sprouts. Today is Friday, December 13th, 2019. It is also the feast day of St. Lucy.

Now, this week on the Catholic Sprouts podcast, we have been talking about the prophet Elijah

and the important message that he had for the

Israelite nation during the age of the kings. Now, we have talked about all sorts of things that

Prophet Elijah did. He brought news to a terrible king who worshipped a false God that God had

punishment for them. Then three years of drought came to the

country, but God took care of Elijah by allowing crows to bring him bread and allowing a widow to

miraculously never run out of food. And then Elijah went back to the king and proved amazingly that God alone is God

when God sent fire from heaven to consume the sacrifice.

And the false God Bail's priests were proven to be wrong.

Yesterday we talked about the end of the story when Elijah left, walked for 40 days, hid in a cave, and

finally found the message of God in a gentle breeze. And from there, he went and named

his successor, the prophet Alicia. Now, there are many amazing things that Alicia did.

And we can talk about those another time. But for today, we're going to talk about

the major message that we should take away from Elijah. Because remember, Elijah, of course,

had a message for the people that lived Drew and he was alive. But because it was written in the

Bible, and the Bible is God's divine word, there is still a message

for us today. And the major message of the prophet Elijah is this. There is no God besides the one

true God. There is only one God. And God demands our entire heart, an entire mind. He demands

everything from us. Now, this isn't like a selfish thing for him to demand. He asked them from us

because he alone can show us what true happiness is, what true
