Hey there, Spouts. Today is Tuesday, September 24th, 2019. It is also the feast day of Our Lady of Mercy.

This week on the Catholic Spouts podcast, we are talking about how we become rosary warriors.

Yesterday, we talked about how the rosary is really a weapon and how even once

Jesus appeared to a bishop holding a sword, but how that sword mystically transformed into a rosary

because it is really our weapon. Today we are celebrating a Marian feast day and that feast day is

our lady of mercy. Now all week of course when we talk about the rosary we are really talking about

Mary. We are talking about how she is so willing and eager to help us, but she's not going to

help us unless we ask, unless we get out of the way and allow her to help.

Mary thinks of us as her beloved children.

She is so willing to help us find forgiveness through Jesus Christ and to bring

us into a better relationship with him. That is why we call her our Lady of Mercy. Now today we are also

going to talk about what really is happening when we pray a rosary. You might be

thinking that praying the rosary is the most boring, tedious thing ever. You have to say the same

prayers over and over again. Maybe you've even fallen asleep praying the rosary. Well, don't worry,

many saints have fallen asleep praying the rosary as well. But more than that, saints realize what is

really happening when we pray the rosary. So we've already talked about how the rosary is a great weapon,

especially when we're dealing with sin, temptation, fear, and addiction. But the rosary is also

something beautiful. Have you ever thought about why we call it the rosary? What does it have to do

with roses exactly? Well, the term rosary comes from actually

something amazing that happened to more than one saint and was witnessed by several people.

Now, since Jesus was alive, people have loved and adored Mary.
